• Internet monetary funding service, PayPal, stated recently that it had passed hundred million users. That is quite an accomplishment for the company, stated PayPal CEO Scott Thompson. The PayPal Boss said mobile payments will overtake paper money by 2015.

• Universal use of the accept credit cards mobile phone technology is yet more of a fantasy than a reality. According to a recent report by the Aite Group; all forms of wireless payments totaled just sixteen billion in 2010. The same findings predict that just one percent of POS purchases will be utilized with the technology in 2015.

• There's little doubt that wireless payments will make big gains in popularity over the next few years. But with restrictions on both the supply and demand sides of the equation, Thompson's prediction that every store will accept mobile payments by 2015 is almost certainly too optimistic.
