Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus : 7 Reasons why you should buy & 5 Reasons why you shouldn't.

Samsung has officially unboxed it's primed to be the flagship smartphone of the year, Galaxy S8. but there are already some turn-offs that we’ve seen from its launch. Should you buy it?

Here are 7 reasons why you should buy :

To buy: Infinity display
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ come with 5.8inch and 6.2inch Quad HD+ resolution Super AMOLED screens respectively. With the ‘Infinity Display’ technology, the company has made the display more immersive by thinning out the bezels and increasing the screen size. the S8 in the hand, feels as the curved edge stand out display.

To buy: Facial recognition & Iris Scanner
Facial recognition is a new technology that Samsung has incorporated in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. These add to the security of the smartphones, which also comes with a fingerprint sensor & a new, improved version of the iris scanner first ever in galaxy series.

To buy: Bixby
Bixby is Samsung's new digital assistant, which the company claims is better than competitors like Cortana, Siri and Google Assistant. Bixby supports contextual search and can find anything from images to the information on the smartphone(s). For now, Bixby only works with Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

To buy: Dex station
DeX station is a new docking accessory that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are compatible with. It allows Samsung’s new smartphones to power an Android-based desktop UI experience for enhanced on-the-go productivity. This is similar to Microsoft’s Continuum feature. DeX station has ports for connecting peripherals like mouse, keyboard and monitor.

To buy: Invisible home button
The 'invisible home button’, as Samsung calls it, is placed under the on-screen Home button and is pressure sensitive. It provides tactile vibration feedback as well. Due to this, the new smartphones not only get bigger displays, but also retain the feel of the physical Home button that previous Galaxy flagships have.

To buy: Mobile HDR certification
The Quad HD+ Super AMOLED screens of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are among the first to have been awarded mobile HDR certification by UHD alliance. This means that the displays are optimized for HDR content. Samsung is also working with Amazon to bring HDR content to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

To buy: Bluetooth 5.0
S8 & S8+ are the first smartphones to come with Bluetooth newer version 5.0 . not even iphone 7, 7+ had this feature.

Here are 5 reasons why you shouldn't buy :

Not to buy: Fingerprint scanner placement
Probably the most disappointing thing about the new Galaxy S8 and S8+ is the placement of the fingerprint sensor. It’s placed next to the rear camera module, and will definitely cause the camera to get smudged quite often due to accidental finger taps on the lenses. Although the smartphone(s) will remind you of wiping the camera module from time to time, it doesn’t change the fact that the fingerprint sensor is placed at the worst-possible location. This turned out to be the worst design aspect of the Galaxy S8.

Not to buy: RAM
Samsung has decided to stick with 4GB of RAM for both the Galaxy S8 and S8+, which is last year’s industry standard. Since these are the company’s flagships, we were expecting them to come with 6GB of RAM (at least in one of the variants). Future smartphones will come with as much as 8GB of RAM. Even Samsung’s own C9 Pro, which is a much lower-specs smartphone than the S8 duo, comes with 6GB of RAM. but the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip in S8 makes you wanna reconsider.

Not to buy: Battery
Battery capacity in the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ is the same as before models S8 with 3,000mah battery, the S8+ has 3,500mAh battery. Although it’s too early to comment about battery life, we think Samsung should have gone with bigger batteries. What’s interesting is that two of the company’s non-flagship smartphones, Galaxy C9 Pro and Galaxy A9 Pro, comes with 4,000mAh and 5,000mAh batteries respectively.

Not to buy: Camera

Just like the batteries, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ carry forward the same front and rear cameras as their predecessors. The rear camera is a 12MP unit, while there’s an 8MP front facing shooter. Although there’s a slight change in the apertures and that could help in getting slightly better images, rest of the camera specifics remain the same. no dual camera in at least the bigger version S8 plus, is disappointing as it is must in a flagship with that price tag. (S8-$720, S8 Plus-$840)

Not to buy: Gigabit LTE not in India
Samsung claims its new Galaxy S8 duo is among the first to support Gigabit LTE connectivity. But as exciting as it sounds, this feature is useless in India. so if you're an indian, consider this reason not to buy..

So guys do you agree with me ?.. what are your thoughts on these S8,S8+ which hit the markets on April 21st. share them in the comments below.. be sure to like & subscribe . stay tuned.

How Emerging Technology will Shrink Jobs in 12 Sectors - 2017

The World Economic Forum 2016 at Davos earlier this year warned that the Fourth Industrial Revolution is underway and that it may eliminate millions of jobs over the next five to 10 years. A Bank of America-Merrill Lynch report too had earlier predicted that 47% of jobs in the US will be taken over by technology.

  • Telesales/call centre employees
Amelia, an artificial call centre agent, can speak 20 languages, learn from her human co workers and has taken over 30% of the calls at a trial call centre. McKinsey estimates that by 2025, similar automated software will replace 250 million knowledge workers across the world. That's equivalent to 50% of India's current working population.

  • Software tester

Agile technology or rapidly developing and deploying working software is the focus of technology firms. This means that, developers are required to do unit testing, use QA automation tools and write their own testing code without wasting time in the QA process. This has made many QA engineers redundant and some firms predict that by as early as 2017 they will not hire or retain a single QA employee.

  • Farmers
Increased mechanisation and farm productivity has led to less than 2% of the US population being directly employed in agriculture. In India, it is currently 50% of the population. With land, machinery, chemicals and seeds becoming expensive and technology providing cost-effective labour solutions, the days of the individual farmer are numbered. Wealthy landowners and corporations will take over this sector while reducing employment dramatically.

  • Factory workers
In Japan there are over 1,500 robots for every 10,000 workers in the automobile manufacturing industry. They are faster, better and becoming increasingly cheaper. The trend is accelerating across global manufacturing and production, taking away the livelihood of factory workers.

  • News reporters
Associated Press already publishes over 3,000 financial reports every quarter using Wordsmith—the natural language reporting platform. 8.5% of Wikipedia's total content has been written by bots. With advertising revenues dropping sharply for news agencies and print media, they can scarcely afford to keep hordes of reporters to track breaking news. Efficient software is up to the task. This means fewer human news reporters and they will be writing more opinion pieces than news.

  • Teachers
With online college classes and degrees, the Internet is eliminating the need to go to college to pursue higher education. Similarly, supplementary education like tuition and coaching is being replaced by apps and online classes. Apart from primary education and schools, this reduces both the salary and the number of teachers required.

  • Health workers
The IBM cognitive computing prototype, Watson, is set to revolutionise medical diagnosis with a projected ability to give accurate, consistent, free diagnosis of medical conditions. Add to that -smart phones coupled with remote electronic health monitoring devices and computerised medical history, and fewer health care professionals will be required as most patients will avail of treatment remotely.

  • Lawyers and paralegals
The largest chunk of legal work is the discovery phase where paralegals and junior lawyers have to go through physical records to gather and synthesize information and draft legal documents before a trial. Software like Legal-Zoom, that performs the task, is dramatically reducing the number of jobs.

  • Accountants
Accounting software for businesses is becoming easier to use. Small businesses are migrating to do-it-yourself solutions like Freshbooks, requiring fewer hours of work by human accountants. While they are automating and reducing wage bills, demand for professional accountants will decline significantly in the next 10 years.

  • Drivers
Driverless cars have been successfully demonstrated on public roads in the US over the past few years. Regulations are being crafted that will permit you to call for a driverless taxi through an app or transport goods by driverless trucks. Fewer accidents, faster travel and no jobs for drivers.

  • Cashiers
In supermarkets and large stores, thousands of cashiers are being replaced by automated self-checkout systems which bill you based on the items in your cart using RFID chips or automated scanners. You can swipe your card or scan your digital wallet on your way out. No queues and no jobs for human cashiers.

  • Hospitality workers
The Henn-na hotel in Nagasaki is the world's first hotel to have only robot staff. Restaurants across the world are experimenting with touch screens at tables for ordering food, robotic waiters/self-service to pick it up and automated systems to perfectly cook fast food. The hospitality segment, which employs up to 5% of the workforce is set to shed millions of jobs.

iPhone 8 – "All Glass" Flexible OLED vs Galaxy S8 & S8 Edge "All Screen" [Latest Rumours,Features]

SAMSUNG is set to unveil a dramatic new design for its upcoming Galaxy S8. It is rumoured to boast an "all-screen" design with razor-thin bezels around the display. Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to ship at MWC 2017. It's been a full two years since the Samsung flagship underwent a facelift, with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge being more of a subtle refinement of the design debuted with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

And with Apple rumoured to be planning a radical new look for its tenth anniversary iPhone in 2017, it makes sense that Samsung wants to unveil something spectacular. According to sources within Samsung, the company's next-generation flagship phone will push the boundaries of design with its "all-display" look. Samsung is expected to ditch the bezel around the display – extending the screen to the very edge of the chassis.

In terms of display size, the South Korean firm is expected to release the 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch variations of 4k displays with stunning cameras as seen on the S7 and S7 Edge.
Samsung is expected to follow Apple's idea and ditch the industry-standard 3.5mm headphone port with the Galaxy S8. There are plenty of headphones already on the market that support USB Type-C, however, Samsung is rumoured to be developing its own proprietary port to replace the 3.5mm port.
According to a report , the South Korean firm plans to incorporate new voice assistant "Viv" in its next flagship smartphone. Making an exclusive deal with chip maker, Qualcomm, Samsung's galaxy S8 will be the fastest Android phone ever.

Samsung’s device is expected to the first major one in the world to offer an optical fingerprint sensor. The sensor would be placed under the display and will be an optical scanner armed with ultrasonic sensors which will make it faster and more accurate than regular fingerprint sensors.

The traditional Home Button, which doubles-up as a fingerprint scanner on the new Galaxy S devices, will be replaced with a virtual one that "will be buried in the glass in the lower section" of the phone. It's not clear whether that means the button will be capacitive key, like those found on rival Android phones, or a pressure-sensitive 3D Touch technology used in the latest iPhones.

Speaking of the APPLE, it is also staged with an all-new design for its 10th anniversary iconic iphone. the source of Wall Street Journal reported that apple wants iPhone 8 to appear like a single sheet of glass. The Cupertino company is also rumoured to be experimenting with an OLED display technology, as well as curved edge to edge glass that wraps around the smartphone.

Apple also filed the US patent for 'dubbed ultrasonic imaging' – that can be used to recognise a print through a glass display. The patent also suggests that ultrasonic imaging is more accurate than using a standalone fingerprint sensor, like those in the Touch ID scanners used in current generation iPhones. It means Apple could finally drop the iconic Home Button, freeing space above and below the display and making the phone more compact.

Featuring the certified water resistance, facial recognition, longest range wireless & fast charging, A11 chip embedded, iphone 8 will be the fastest and most relevant phone in the world, knocking down its rivals.

According to a new report from Fast Company, the iPhone 8 could cost more than $1,000. That’s price point wouldn’t exactly be a surprise as the most expensive iPhone 7 Plus is $969 for a version with 256GB of memory. The new OLED display that stretches across the entire front of the phone, will costs the Apple twice as much as current LCD displays in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. so with the top-of-line 2017 iPhone expected to sport a number of new technologies, be prepared to pay up.
And now another prominent rumour around Apple's upcoming smartphone plans has resurfaced and refused to fade away that Apple is actively investigating the possibility of making a flexible iPhone in the not-too-distant future. According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, Apple is hard at work on "a flexible display that is moveable between a folded position and an unfolded position". In its patent, Apple details on how the unannounced iPhone would play host to "a sensor that detects whether the flexible display is in the folded position or the unfolded position." Working in reverse, this technology will also turn-off the display when it’s re-folded.

well, if this comes to reality around september, iPhone 8 will be the Apple's first iphone with the flexible oled display, glass designed & without a home button.
